First Time Guide

Your first Sunday with us — what to expect, what to wear, and why we're glad you're here.

Visiting a Church Can Be a Frightening Thing

"What should I wear? Will people speak to me? Will I find a seat? Is there something for my kids?"

Maybe you are returning to church, or coming for the very first time. You may feel like people are watching you — or that you'll be judged. "Will the preacher condemn me from the stage?" "Will people judge me if I look differently than they do?"

We get it. Here are a few things to know before you walk through the door.

A Few Things to Know

No surprises. Just a warm welcome.

Come As You Are

We do our best to make your visit a pleasant one. Finding a new church can be hard to figure out — so please, just come as you are.

No Dress Code

Feel free to come casual or dressy. We have no dress code — whatever makes you comfortable is great with us.

Sit Anywhere

Sit anywhere you like — there are no assigned seats. Find a spot that feels comfortable to you.

Beware of Friendly People

Beware of friendly people — someone WILL speak to you. We're a warm and welcoming bunch.

Relevant Sermons

Our sermons are designed to be relevant to life and spiritually encompassing. You just might learn something!

No Pressure to Give

We are not after your money! Guests are encouraged to enjoy the visit with no obligation to give.

A Heart for Everyone

Gateway is not a perfect church, but we strive to have a heart for people from all walks of life.
